NuTray is designed for Sodexo's elementary school catering. It is a tool to improve adoption of their healthy menus for children ages 6 to 12 years old. It takes into account the needs of all, specially kids with motor skill difficulties and those who are visually impaired.

Most of the time food is disproportionately served and the rates of food waste, obesity or malnutrition increase constantly. Additionally, much food is usually left uneaten, scattered around the plate because for the visually impaired, simple tasks like being able to gauge the amount of food picked up with a spoon, or pouring, can be extremely challenging.

Tactile recognition

The spoon, fork and knife all include their own distinctive shape at the end of the handles that allow the children to identify them without having to touch the parts that will be in contact with the food and that could potentially harm them.
